This interactive workshop will review a mediator’s responsibilities concerning confidentiality and discuss difficult ethical challenges involving confidentiality. Participants will be invited to answer a challenging 15 item questionnaire survey and the answers to these questions will address a brief review of key aspects of the Florida Mediation Confidentiality and Privilege Act including exceptions to confidentiality not included in the Act; procedural mediation rules, standards of professional conduct and MEAC Opinions addressing confidentiality. Trainers will be presented with how a brief test can be utilized as a tool for advanced mediation training.
