GS1 Monday June 13th General Session/Opening Ceremonies

Tim Alderman has been a Unity Student for over 30 years–and served in leadership roles including Youth of Unity sponsor, prayer chaplain, and past president of the board of three Unity spiritual communities: First Unity Temple in El Paso, Texas; Unity Center of El Paso; and Unity of Washington DC. Currently, Tim serves as the president for the Board of Trustees in Unity of Wimberley, Texas. Tim contributes a wealth of knowledge gleaned from serving as a human resources advisor for 37 years with the United States Army, The US Public Health Service and the Department of Defense. Currently, Tim serves as the project manager for the US Army Corps of Engineers Emergency Management Division, deploying retired employees to temporary duty at national disaster sites and for special assignments throughout the United States. He is also a trained mediator. Tim’s daughter (raised in Unity) and family attend and are active in Unity of Wimberley, as does his partner of twenty-five years, Baxter Lawrence, a retired architect, who currently manages the community’s bookstore.
